Some GM modules have reuse or security limitations. Text the VIN, diagnostic codes and photos of the original and replacement labels before buying a used unit.
Send both module labels, the VIN and the diagnostic report. Let us know if the replacement is new or used and whether the original still communicates. Used-module support is confirmed for the specific job; a matching appearance is not a promise that programming is available.
Our documented Silverado electrical project began as a BCM programming request. Diagnosis identified an electrical fault, and repair restored operation. If your vehicle has a no-start or communication problem, describe the symptoms before selecting a programming service.
Identify the exact module being replaced and the repair already performed. We can review supported programming, configuration and relearn work, or arrange diagnosis when the cause has not been established.
The customer called for BCM programming, but diagnostic testing showed the vehicle needed electrical repair. We traced the faults, completed the repair and restored operation.
A compatible used instrument cluster was programmed and configured for the Chevrolet Silverado.
For a vehicle that does not start, see no-crank and no-start diagnostics. For communication faults, see Houston CAN-bus diagnostics. Repair shops can review our mobile programming service.
