Compatibility, component protection and security requirements vary. Text the VIN, codes and module labels before purchasing a replacement.
Send the Audi VIN, full fault-code report and clear original and replacement module-label photos. Specify the module involved and whether the donor is new or used. Compatibility, security requirements and the available service are reviewed for the individual vehicle.
Tell us whether the issue began after module replacement, electrical damage or another repair. Note whether the vehicle starts and whether your scan tool communicates with the module. This helps distinguish a programming enquiry from a fault-diagnosis appointment.
Do not send a module before service eligibility is confirmed. Some jobs require access to the vehicle. For a cloning enquiry, tell us whether the original module is available and describe its condition; we can then discuss the appropriate service route.
For a vehicle that does not start, see no-crank and no-start diagnostics. For communication faults, see Houston CAN-bus diagnostics. Repair shops can review our mobile programming service.
